Dispensing counters are used for storing and displaying the most frequently sold products and for providing space for the cash registers and computer hardware. These may take various forms and have a predominant impact on the general appearance of a pharmacy. They are often provided with glass cases and space for the so-called impulse goods which do not need much room but still generate extra sales for the pharmacy. It is also an ideal place for all kinds of leaflets and possibly special offer products.
